capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

 Membership

We strive to create a professionally rewarding and enjoyable experience for our members throughout their period of membership with The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego “CDC”. We also hope that Members will make every reasonable effort to benefit fully from all the programs, services, and opportunities we offer and to contribute to further the Associations mission.

The following terms and conditions, therefore, define membership in
The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego:

The Membership is with The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego, a 501(c)6 which operates as a network of Professional Chefs, Culinarians, Educators, Students, Food Industry Professionals, and Enthusiasts. Additionally, we are a local Chapter of the American Culinary Federation “ACF”. Dues-paying Members may choose to join the ACF for a separate fee or join as a local member only. Local membership does not include ACF membership or any of the ACF benefits. Selecting a local membership does not preclude the Member from participating in chapter meetings and activities.

Membership is open to Professional Chefs, Culinarians, Educators, Students, Food Industry Professionals, and Enthusiasts
When joining The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego the choice of a local membership may determine some of the communication the Member will receive from the CDC but, again it does not restrict in any way the Member’s rights to attend any events or use services provided by the chapter.

Membership may be a business entitlement or a personal one. Employees of Associate members are, therefore, entitled to all The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego benefits and services when working on behalf of their dues-paying Member employer.

Regardless of membership levels, annual membership runs from the payment date and is due for yearly renewal on the anniversary date of initial payment. Should a prospective member join The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego, membership dues will not be prorated according to the time of the year during which they joined. Membership starts when The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego receives payment. Starting with the second year, membership(s) will automatically be invoiced or directly debited for membership renewal. The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego Membership fee is non-refundable, and Membership is non-transferable.

Individual Membership entitles the Member to one standard entry in the Directory and discounts at our events.

Associate Membership entitles the Member, at no additional cost, marketing on our website SDCHEFS.ORG, discounted advertising in our newsletter and discounts at our events. It is expected that the Member company will inform The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego whenever there are personnel changes that may impact membership records. Moreover, the Member is responsible to updating his/her contact information with The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego.

Membership Fees:

Professional Culinarian – $75/yearly
Culinarian – $55/yearly
Culinary Students – $35/yearly
Allied – $75/yearly
Enthusiast – $75.00/yearly
Senior – $50/yearly
Junior – $25/yearly
Associate – $250/yearly

The American Culinary Federation membership fees are handled separately by the ACF at: http://www.acfchefs.org/

The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego communicates with Members by email, telephone, website, and social networks such as Facebook or Linkedin. We contact our Members with information that we believe could be of interest to them. By entering into this agreement, you agree to be contacted The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego.

Members are entitled and encouraged to take advantage of the various opportunities the CDC offers but a Member should never feel obligated to use any of the products and services offered by the CDC or its partners. Any agreement between the Member and CDC’s partners are strictly between the two parties, and are not the responsibility of The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego
Regardless of Membership Category, the various membership benefits are subject to change without notice and are subject to terms and conditions available from the CDC.

By accepting our terms, you are entering into an agreement to join The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego. You may cancel the agreement by giving The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego a written notice within 14 days of the date of the agreement.

The Membership is subject to CDC Board approval and the CDC reserves a right to refuse Membership without disclosing any reason.
Membership is subject to the provisions of our by-laws and applicable CDC policies (available on request). In the event of a conflict between these Terms & Conditions and the by-laws, the by-laws shall prevail.

The Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego shall have no liability for any losses suffered by a Member as a result of using services offered by a fellow Member. The CDC shall have no responsibility for advice given or services provided by its third-party service providers even though the CDC may have introduced such providers to the Member.
