Only 40 tickets are being sold for this exclusive event, due to extensive menu,
available seating capacity and in keeping with the 40th Anniversary theme.

Enjoy a lavish menu and superb wine pairings. Commemorate the 40th anniversary of
owner/chef Michel Malecot and the iconic French Gourmet Restaurant while supporting
the Chefs de Cuisine Association of San Diego Education Foundation.
Compare old world wines perfectly matched with wines of the new world by Wine Judge
Brad Bruce and paired with dishes personally selected by the illustrious Michel Malecot.
Hors d’oeuvres: 6:00 – 6:30: Sparkling Blanquette de Limoux Faire la Fete paired with
gougeres parmesan and creamy avocado on rosemary brushed whole wheat toast.
Pairings: 6:30 – 8:30: 2014 Les Deux Tours Sauvignon Blanc and a J Lohr Flume
Crossing Sauvignon Blanc paired with jumbo shrimp in delicious court-bouillon served
peeled with a classic cocktail sauce and the famous French Gourmet assortment of
pates with a selection of artisan saucisson sec (European style dry salami), prosciutto,
mortadella, served with onion chutney, pickled garlic, Greek style olives and cornichons.
2017 Jean-Claude Boisset Fixin Pinot Noir and Chapter 24 Pinot Noir from Oregon’s the
Willamette Valley paired with herbed goat cheese, red onion, candied pecans, roasted
beet spoon and duck confit au Cassis/with mixed wild rice. Duck confit au cassis / short
plated with mixed wild rice – tender duckling marinated with black currant and fragrant
spices slowly baked and served with a black currant demi-glace.
2014 Chateau Pasquet Bordeaux and J Lohr Hilltop Cabernet Sauvignon paired with
grilled flat iron steak baguetine served open on toasted baguette with Boursin cheese
and French Gourmet onion chutney with a dab of creamy horseradish.
Wagner Finger Lakes Riesling Ice Wine paired with assorted French petite fours:
raspberry sable, chocolate tartlets, golden croquembouche custard puffs, lemon Nutella
chocolate tartlets and napoleons.
